Former Wales international Nathan Blake has a personal cause for personal celebration on his return from clocking up the air miles when suffering a double disappointment watching Craig Bellamy’s Wales side fall to defeats at the hands of Portugal and Denmark. Blakey and former BBC Wales Football Correspondent Rob Phillips reflect on those losses and ponder the challenge of taking on the threat of super striker Erling Haaland and his talented Norway team at the Cardiff City Stadium before a return clash with the Danes. Also Rob waxes lyrical about Newport County’s surprise win over Grimsby Town and they talk about a strong statement from Merthyr Town’s board. In the dedicated Novira Cymru Leagues spot, there is praise for the “Big Bont Bash” initiative and new Flint Town manager Danny Holmes’ good start. This episode also looks at the goal-laden Genero Adran League and Rhian Wilkinson’s Wales squad for the World Cup qualifying play-off clashes with Albania.00:00 - Intro & Blakey's Granddad News03:18 - ‪@FAWales‬ vs. Portugal & Denmark Breakdown08:37 - Player Load, Science vs. Instinct & Tactical Identity24:18 - Bellamy Under the Spotlight & Squad Questions28:03 - Can ‪@FAWales‬ Stop Haaland?
