Llantwit game rained off

Llantwit Major's Cymru South fixture at Cwmbran Celtic on Friday night has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

With heavy rain forecast throughout the day amid Storm Claudia, the pitch at Celtic Park failed a morning pitch inspection and the game will be rearranged for a later date.

Llantwit are currently 10th in the league after a five-game unbeaten run while Celtic remain bottom of the table and yet to pick up their first win of the season.

Karl Lewis' side now face a prolonged break in action with their next game at home to Afan Lido on Saturday 29th November.

Elsewhere this week, Jack Bevan was named the Cymru South's player of the month, after the striker scored four goals in Llantwit's three league games during October.
