A 34 year-old man has been charged following a spate of burglaries in the Penarth and Cardiff areas.
A second man arrested in connection with the break-ins has been released on conditional bail pending further inquiries.
Properties in the Cardiff Bay and Penarth areas were targeted, as well as in Penylan, Whitchurch, Rhiwbina and Llanedeyrn.
David Lee Thomas from Pentwyn was arrested on Friday and later charged with burglary, attempted burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
He was remanded in custody by Cardiff magistrates the following day and will appear before a judge at the city's crown court next month.
In an appeal last Friday, South Wales Police urged homeowners in the area to make sure their doors are locked and their car keys are kept hidden and out of sight.
