Changes for local bus routes

There'll be changes to two local bus routes serving the Vale of Glamorgan from the end of the month.

From 31st August, First Cymru's 321 service between Llantwit Major and Talbot Green will run every 60 minutes.

Buses will leave Llantwit Major Interchange on the hour between 7am and 7pm from Monday to Saturday, except on public holidays.

There'll also be a revised timetable on the X2 service between Porthcawl and Cardiff via Cowbridge, along with a revised route in the city centre.

It will not longer stop at Westgate Street, but will operate via Neville Street, Despenser Street, Fitzhamon Embankment and Wood Street to Cardiff Bus Interchange and Tudor Street, Clare Street and Neville Street toward Bridgend and Porthcawl.

First Cymru said the X2 changes were being made "to aid punctuality".

Rob Pymm from First Bus Wales and West said: "We’re delighted to make these changes to our network of services in South and West Wales, with increased coverage, more journeys and new timetables to make services more reliable and punctual."

"We’ve listened to customer feedback and worked closely with local councils to make the changes, making sure that whether our customers are heading to work, college, an appointment, the shops or just out for the day, there’s a bus to get them there reliably and sustainably."
